✂️ Zine Studio

Make an 8-page mini-zine from a single sheet of 8.5×11 paper — printed on one side only, folded, with one small cut. Each page is 2.75″ × 4.25″.

Editing

• + text / + image buttons above each page add elements; you can also drag & drop image files onto a page, or paste a copied image with Ctrl+V.
• Click an element to select it, drag to move, use the round handles to resize, and the red handle above to rotate (hold Shift for free rotation).
• Double-click text to edit it. Fonts, size, color and alignment appear in the toolbar when selected.
• Work is autosaved in your browser. Use Save file to keep a portable copy.
• 📖 Flip through shows an animated preview of the finished booklet — click pages to turn them.
• Every page starts with a small page number at the bottom — it's an ordinary text element, so click it to restyle, move, or delete it.

Printing

Print at 100% scale (not "fit to page"), single-sided, with margins set to None or Minimum. Most printers can't print to the very edge, so keep important content a little away from page edges.

Want a PDF? Use the same 🖨 button and choose Save as PDF as the destination in the print dialog — you'll get a perfect vector PDF of the sheet. When printing that PDF later, choose Actual size, never Fit.

Why 100% matters: the folds are made by halving the physical paper, and the layout is anchored to those exact fractions of the sheet — so at 100% scale the fold lines are automatically registered to the paper, and printers that can't reach the edges merely trim the outer few millimeters without shifting anything. Any "fit / shrink to page" setting scales the layout and breaks that registration. Quick check: fold a printed sheet in half — the crease should run right along the printed fold line. If it doesn't, your print was scaled.

Folding (after printing)

1. Fold in half — long edge to long edge ("hot-dog"). Unfold.
2. Fold in half short-edge to short-edge, then fold each half back to the middle, making 8 panels. Unfold everything.
3. Fold in half short-edge to short-edge and cut along the center crease from the folded edge to the middle of the sheet — the slit should span only the middle two panels. (The fold guides mark it with ✂.)
4. Unfold, then refold hot-dog with the printing on the outside.
5. Push the two ends toward the middle — the slit opens into a diamond and the panels form a plus-sign. Wrap them flat into a booklet with the cover on front. Crease well!
